  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine sliced bananas, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add milk, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Pour the banana mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the dough on top of the bananas.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle over the cobbler.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until the topping is golden and cooked through.
